Let me give myself as an example. I love to travel, so I got a job at an airline (which I am thankful I still have!). This year I have trained so that I can offer my services as a coach to help other people like me find their best career path. Each of these things brings me a combination of benefits, income, and happiness.

In the end, that is what this type of portfolio career is all about – not being tied to one thing all the time. It’s like catnip for the generalist.
